Mezzotint is a form of Intaglio the produces a rough surface that when smoothed creates shades of grey.
The context of the following works focuses on social issues. But when placed alone on the page it is left to the viewer to create their own interpretation of the print.
I then took each plate/image and combined it with a digital composition that contextualized the image to the social issue, creating a new form and piece.
Each piece featured here is from a 3in X 3in copper plate. It is the printed on various sizes of paper.
