“Lost In Translation” is an installation graphic piece that explores the various translations of the bible.
The goal of this project was to give people an alternative approach to the bible that was less abrasive and more personal than being handed a bible randomly by a stranger, as well as giving individuals a basic understanding of the different translations and an overview of both the old and new testament.
I wanted the piece to be approachable, somewhat delicate, and give the user the ability to enter the information from whatever starting point they choose. These goals then influence the material and design layout of the panels and the installation.
In total there are 18 cloth panels.
