Fallout is a project I did after someone suggested I Google images of Chernobyl victims. I was very moved by what I found and it prompted research and this six panel piece. The first four panels when placed together create the span of the area affected by the nuclear accident which occurred on April 26th, 1986 at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in Ukraine, when a flawed reactor exploded releasing deadly amounts of radioactive particles into the atmosphere. The results were catastrophic and far reaching, and the effects will be seen far into the 21st century.
This is the digital representation of the piece, as I am reprinting it an will upload photos at a later date.
It is a digital image combined with six Mezzotint plates in varying sizes.
Each panel is 24in x 24in.
